Xavier Cooks, the 6’8″ senior from Wollongong has been awarded player of the year and All-Big South First Team selection as a result of his stellar play this year with the Winthrop Eagles.Coming into the conference tournament, he has averaged an impressive 17.6ppg and 8.9rpg and will be the spearhead for Winthrops’ chances of advancing deep into their tournament.
